How much does pharmacy home delivery cost?
It depends on the pharmacy that you are using. Some pharmacies will charge a fee for this service, however, other pharmacies such Apothecare, will deliver your prescriptions right to your home free of charge.
How do your prices compare with other pharmacies?
At Apothecare our dispensing fees are very low and we don’t charge any more than what you currently pay for your prescriptions. Plus with free delivery how can you go wrong?
Is pharmacy home delivery private?
Yes. If you use Apothecare for your pharmacy home delivery you can be assured that your delivery will be 100% private. All of our deliveries are performed with the utmost discretion. We take your privacy seriously, that’s why all of our conversations and deliveries are always confidential.
Is pharmacy home delivery safe?
Yes. At Apothecare we take every precaution to ensure that your delivery is made safely and securely to you and you alone.
Can I order my prescriptions online?
Yes. With Apothecare you have the option of placing your order online. Simply fill in our easy-to-use online form to get started.
Can I order my prescriptions over the phone?
Yes. You can either give Apothecare a call at 519-954-1055 or you can text us.
What do I have to do to place an order for pharmacy home delivery?
You can place your order by phone, text message, email, or through our online form, whichever method your prefer.
Do you need a copy of my original prescription?
If you send us a text with a picture of your prescription we can then collect the original copy upon delivery or when you pick up your prescription or you can have your doctor simply fax us a copy of your prescription at 519-954-7353.
Do you accept insurance for pharmacy home deliveries?
Yes. We will coordinate with your insurance to get you the best price, after all fees, on your medication and we will tell you what it will cost before you check out.
Can I transfer my prescription from another pharmacy and still get free delivery?
Yes. Simply call us at 519-954-1055, text or email us, letting us know you would like a prescription filled, and ask us what you need to do next! If you are using text or email, your can also send us a picture of your prescription.
How will I know when my prescription will be ready?
We will notify you when your prescription is ready, either email, text message, or phone, whichever you prefer. If you would like your prescription delivered we will setup a time for our FREE home delivery.
How quickly will my prescription be delivered?
Apothecare offers convenient same day delivery of prescriptions. And remember, our pharmacy home delivery is completely FREE!
Can I pick up my prescription instead?
Yes. If you prefer, you can come to our pharmacy store to pick up your prescription. Our address is 439 Park St. Kitchener, ON.
Apothecare is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and you can also contact us by e-mail or text from 5pm-7pm.
Is your pharmacy eco-friendly?
Yes. We use a “paperless” workflow minimizing the amount of paper we use behind the scenes when filling your prescription. We are also able to email you information sheets to decrease the amount of paper generated at the pharmacy level.
In addition we use eco-friendly vials. Our vials generate 100 times less CO2 emissions and 35% less plastic in production compared to regular vials.
If your vials are in good condition they can be reused if you require refills.
What can I do with my expired medication?
If you have expired medications and you’re not sure what to do with them, bring them to us. We will safely disposal of them so they don’t end up in our water systems.

Meet Our Pharmacists
Neil Malhotra
Neil grew up in Waterloo and started his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo before pharmacy school in Toronto. He completed his pharmacy degree in 2009 at the University of Toronto.
Neil is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) ready to help with any of your diabetes related questions or goals. He is also trained to help you quit smoking.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, two boys, and being out on his bicycle!
Michael Pe
Mike completed his pharmacy degree in 2009 at the University of Toronto then completed a 1-year post graduate residency at SickKids hospital.
Mike brings a wide range of experience from working in a variety of pharmacy settings including hospital, community, and a health clinic at a family health team.
He is also trained to help you quit smoking. Mike enjoys hiking and travelling with his wife and son.
